Help Keep Hiram, Paulding Beautiful at Upcoming Events

The City of Hiram, Paulding County Board of Commissioners and Keep Paulding Beautiful are holding a Great American Cleanup event on Saturday, May 2.

“In order for this to be a success, we need you, your neighborhood group, friends, families, scout and ROTC groups, churches, community organizations, business associations and the like to join us in our efforts,” the City of Hiram said in a news release.

If you’re interested, join the effort by showing up at 8:30 a.m. at the County Administration Building at 240 Constitution Boulevard. Registration begins at 8:30. Groups will be dispatched to cleanup sites beginning at 9 a.m. The event concludes at 12 p.m.

Do You Want to Safely and Securely Dispose of Your Confidential and Personal Documents?

The City of Hiram will be continuing its efforts in keeping Hiram beautiful inside and out by hosting a “Great Shredder Event” on Saturday, June 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The shredder site will be located at Hiram Elementary School, 200 Seaboard Avenue, Hiram, GA 30141. The first 10 “bank” boxes are free! ($5 per box for more than 10 boxes.)

“Keeping our community beautiful takes a concerted effort by all of us every day of the year,” Code Enforcement Officer Cliff McGrady said in the news release. “These organized events provides a great opportunity for everyone to join us in our endeavor to keep our streets, parks and right of ways clean while providing a beautiful curb-side appeal to all those who drive, bike or walk through our town and county.”
