Hot Temps, But Storm Chance Will Linger: Georgia Weather Forecast

The line is "April showers" for a reason, and we'll know it this week.

The week starts out sunny as temperatures head north of 80 and near 85 degrees on Wednesday.

The heat is also bringing along a chance of showers and possibly thunderstorms starting on Wednesday and sticking around in the forecast through the weekend.

In the national forecast, the Weather Channel says it will be a week of severe weather, with tornado threats for the Midwest and the South.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Southwest wind around 5 mph.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85.

Thursday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 81.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Sunny, with a high near 83.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 83.

Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78.
