Janice Louise Thwaites, 70, Dies

Janice Louise Thwaites, 70 of Dallas, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 9. She was born on Dec. 16, 1942 in Frost Berg, Maryland. She was a member of NorthWest Community Church and a pre-school teacher for approximately 16 years. Mrs. Thwaites was preceded in death by her parents, Gomer and Beryl Euick Horton.

Survivors include her husband, Robert H. Thwaites of Dallas, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Anne Thwaites of Powder Springs, GA and daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Brian Mitchell of Dallas, GA, grandchildren; Alexander, Anna Elizabeth and Ryan Thwaites of Powder Springs, GA and Lauren and Alyssa Mitchell of Dallas, GA. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 3 p.m., from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Brian Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at the Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery in Flintstone, MD with Hafer Funeral Home in LaVale, MD handling the arrangements at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, Nov. 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m.
