Infrastructure Task Force Gets Commissioners’ Approval
Task force will be charged with creating a plan to fix 174 subdivisions affected by the economic downturn.

The wasted little time Tuesday night approving the formation of a task force that will look at about 9,100 lots in the county.
Commissioners unanimously voted to greenlight , which will be tasked with coming up with a plan to fix 174 subdivisions that were affected by the downturn in the economy.
The task force will be comprised of two committees. The technical committee will develop recommendations for the neighborhoods and present them to the two-member executive committee. If approved, the plans would be carried out. If not, the former would come up with another plan.

Commissioners also gave their nod to an amended Urban Redevelopment Plan. Prior to the affirmative vote, County Attorney Jayson Phillips told commissioners that a public hearing is set for the Nov. 8 commission meeting prior to final approval of the Urban Redevelopment Plan.

- An intergovernmental agreement with Cobb County for providing water and sewer services to the Puryear Tract located off Poplar Springs Road at 113 Puryear Path, a 40-acre tract on the county line off Poplar Springs Road.
- An amended application by Sheila J. Tidwell for a special use permit on an estimated 31.09 acres in land lots 522 and 529 for weddings, reunions and gatherings. The address of the land is 400 Red Mountain Road, Dallas.
