Navy Vet Donald Willis Conner, 80, Dies

Donald Willis Conner, 80 of Jacksonville, FL., formerly of Powder Springs passed away Nov. 3. Funeral Services were held at Bellamy Funeral Home Powder Springs Chapel with Rev. Eddie Davidson officiating.
Interment followed at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: Daughter - Olga C. and Robert Ring; Son - Darrin A. Conner; Brother - Vernon and Ruth Conner; Grandchildren - Joshua and Sarah Nettles, Tristan Nettles, Tabitha Nettles, Kayla C. and Tom Smith, Brandon Clevenger, Tiffany Conner, and Tony Conner; 6 Great Grandchildren; Special Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by: Parents- Claude and Ollie Conner, and Sister - Joyce Jacks.
Mr. Conner, a life long resident of Powder Springs, delivered the Atlanta Journal and Constitution for 18 years and was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Dallas.
He was a resident of Jacksonville, FL. for the past five years and loved long walks in the sun, the beach, gardening, shopping and eating dessert. Mr. Conner worked in Sales and Service for Kearney Company in Tucker, GA and was in the U.States Navy for two years.
