Paulding Board's Chester Named to GSBA Committee
School board member Nick Chester will be among those who help determine GSBA legislative positions for the upcoming year.

member Nick Chester was recently tapped to serve as a member of the Georgia School Boards Association’s 2011 Governmental Operations Committee. The GSBA president annually makes appointments to this committee after considerable deliberation with the staff and board of directors.
As a member of the committee, Chester will represent not only represent his local board but also the interests of all of Georgia's school boards.

- vote on the recommendations for legislative positions submitted by the GSBA membership
- offer its recommendations to the GSBA Delegate Assembly during the 2011 Summer Conference, Friday, June 17, in Savannah.
At the Delegate Assembly, one voting delegate from each local school board votes on the GOC recommendations, and the resulting document of GSBA legislative positions becomes the cornerstone that guides GSBA efforts for the coming year.
Chester has been Paulding’s District 2 board member since January.
