Paulding County Schools Cancel Monday Classes
The sheriff's office reported that there are too many county roads still covered with ice.
DALLAS, GA — Classes at Paulding County Schools are canceled for Monday, due to icy conditions that remain on roads in the area.
The closures are for both students and staff, the school district said in a Facebook post.
Earlier Sunday, school system spokeswoman Suzanne Wooley said the system was in contact with the Paulding County Sheriff's Office to assess how roads were responding to the weekend's winter storm.

In its own series of posts, the sheriff's office noted that conditions remained tricky in some places.
"We cannot guarantee what conditions are because they change quickly," the sheriff's office said in a Facebook post Sunday. "Temperatures are extremely low today. Any ice that was on roadways yesterday, will surely be on them today until the sun comes out and melting occurs. Unfortunately, we cannot give a road by road report because there are too many roads to list them all."
