Paulding Schools Make Decision On Closing

BREAKING: The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for much of metro Atlanta on Friday.

DALLAS, GA — Paulding County public schools will close early on Friday due to the possibility of hazardous weather conditions in metro Atlanta.

While the area was experiencing a mix of rain and snow, but not freezing temperatures, Friday morning, school officials said they made the decision to release students early "out of an abundance of caution due to the rapidly changing conditions."

Paulding middle and high schools will be released at 11:30 a.m. Friday and elementary schools will be released at 12:30 p.m.

ASP/Learning Bridge is canceled, as are all evening and Saturday school-related events, officials said.
