Stephens was treated at the scene and Crockett was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center.
A Life Flight helicopter landed and took off from the parking lot of the nearby Ingles grocery store to take the girl to an Atlanta-area hospital, Henson said. Her status was unknown as of Friday afternoon.
Two Nixle alerts were sent to Paulding residents following the crash to advise drivers to avoid the area. The first, sent at 10:23 p.m., warned that a detour would be required for about an hour. Nearly an hour later, a second alert went out to announce that both roadways would be closed for several hours.
