Police Identify Dallas Motorcycle Racer Killed at Road Atlanta

Andrew White of Dallas reportedly lost control and struck a concrete barrier.

The motorcycle racer who died in an accident Saturday at Road Atlanta has been identified as Andrew White of Dallas, Ga.

A spokesperson with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said White, 29, had a gear-shifting problem that made him lose control of his motorcycle and crash into a concrete barrier, AccessNorthGA.com reported.

White was racing in a WERA Cycle Jam event at the Braselton, Ga., race track when the accident happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7.

He was taken to the Barrow Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
