Pro Football Team's Hiram Tryouts Begin Saturday
The Douglas County River Dogs will be looking for players in late October and early November.
The Douglas County River Dogs team aims to bring exciting professional football action to the area as they build for the upcoming season.
As a member of the National Developmental Football League, the River Dogs will offer tryouts for young men who have a passion for football and are seeking an opportunity to play NFL-rules football with commitment to the team and using this opportunity to compete for a championship. The NDFL provides a platform for players who are looking to advance their skills to the next level, whether it be for college, arena or the NFL.
The River Dogs team is made up of individuals who are about making a positive impact on the community with solid principles and dedication to successful leadership.

"Building a team made up of hard-working men who believe in teamwork with the dedication to become champions has been my dream for years, and the Douglas County River Dogs are the realization of these goals,” said George Duker, team owner. "I want to deliver a team that Douglas County will be proud to call its own and an organization that young men will want to become a part of.
“Our success will be built from determination, dedication, devotion and discipline," he added. "A team that believes in integrity, honesty, commitment to excellence and doing things the right way."

Tryouts for the Douglas County River Dogs team will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 5-6 and Nov. 12-13 at the , 172 Shipp Circle, Hiram (between Hiram Sudie & Nebo Roads). There is a $50 registration fee, which includes a physical, T-shirt and meal.
