Public Meeting Planned In Paulding Co. For Upcoming Road Project

Residents will learn details regarding a new road project involving SR 360 from New Macland Rd. in Cobb County to SR 120 in Paulding County​

DALLAS, GA—Representatives with the Georgia Department of Transportation want to hear from Paulding County residents concerning a new road widening project.

The GDOT plans to hold a public information open house on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020 from 5 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Macland Presbyterian Church, which is located at 3615 Macland Rd. in Powder Springs.

At the meeting, residents will learn details regarding a new road project involving SR 360 from New Macland Rd. in Cobb County to SR 120 in Paulding County.

According to a report by West Georgia Neighbor, the GDOT plans to spend $54 million to widen those roads.

The 6.2-mile widening project calls for creating a four-lane, divided road with a 20-foot grass median. Curbs, gutters and sidewalks are included, the newspaper reported.
