School Put on Lockdown after Hart Road Incident
Officials say Allgood Elementary was not threatened or in any danger during the incident Friday.

An incident on Hart Road in Dallas led to the lockdown of a nearby school Friday.
According to Paulding Schools Associate Superintendent Brian Otott, Allgood Elementary was placed on lockdown due to activity involving the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Ashley Henson told Dallas-Hiram Patch that a domestic dispute at a Hart Road address led to gunshots being fired. A suspect involved in the incident is currently in custody, he added.

School lockdowns are typical when police activity occurs nearby. In December, three Paulding schools—Dallas Elementary, Herschel Jones Middle and Paulding County High—were placed on lockdown as Dallas Police pursued a man who allegedly tried to cash a forged check at Georgia Heritage Bank in Dallas.
