Semipro Team to Hit Gridiron in February

Football talent from across the area will suit up this March when the Douglas County River Dogs hit the gridiron for the team’s home opener in Douglasville.

The River Dogs at the . The team this week finalized its 2012 National Developmental Football League schedule, which includes 10 games and a preseason kickoff weekend classic game, set for Feb. 25 at in Sandy Springs.

River Dogs players will begin the regular season the next weekend at their home field—Bill Arp Park in Douglasville, next to , 4841 Highway 5. All home games will have a 7:30 p.m. kickoff, with gates opening at 5 p.m.
