'Shoot for the Horizon' Benefits Children, Young Adults in Need

Proceeds will go to the Horizon League, which helps children and young adults with developmental and physical disabilities.

The sixth annual “Shoot For The Horizon” pistol competition is two weeks away.

The public safety-only pistol competition benefits the Horizon League which provides children and young adults with developmental and physical disabilities the opportunity to participate in athletic, social, and cultural events. All proceeds go directly to Special Needs Development Group, Inc. which is considered a non-profit charity and is registered as a 501(c)(3).

The event will be held on Saturday August 22, 2015 from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm and will take place at the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Training Center (770) 443-7630. This event is being sponsored by the Acworth Police Department and the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.

This is a public safety only pistol competition. This includes but is not limited to state, local, and federal law enforcement officers, fire fighters, probation officers, etc.
