Show Support for Veterans at Annual Meeting
Soldiers' Angels requesting items for VA patients

In a show of support for our nation’s troops and veterans, GreyStone Power invites Soldiers’ Angels to the co-op’s Annual Meeting of Members each year. The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at GreyStone’s headquarters in Douglasville, located at 4040 Bankhead Highway.
Soldiers’ Angels, a volunteer-based non-profit organization supporting American service representatives and their families, will host a booth at the Annual Meeting. The event is free for those customers, known as members, who receive electricity from the not-for-profit cooperative.
The Soldiers’ Angels booth will give members a chance to sign a Christmas card for a veteran. Members can also donate needed items that will be used to assemble hygiene kits for Veterans Affairs (VA) patients. These items include:

· Travel size shampoo and conditioner sets
· Travel size body wash (no bar soap)

· Travel size men’s and women’s deodorant (solid sticks)
· Travel size toothpaste and floss
· Travel size individually-wrapped toothbrushes
· Travel size baby powder
· Travel size moisturizing lotion (scents that both men and women will use)
· Lip balm
· Small puzzle books
· Playing cards
The puzzle books and playing cards will be used primarily for Christmas stockings. This year, Soldiers’ Angels will assemble approximately 1,000 stockings for hospitalized vets at three VA facilities in Georgia. Due to the troop drawdown overseas, the military is not accepting any bulk shipments for deployed soldiers as they have in the past.
GreyStone members also have the option to bring signed Christmas cards with them to the event to give to Soldiers’ Angels representatives. For more information on Soldiers’ Angels, visit www.soldiersangels.org.
