Summer Q&As for School Parents in Paulding County

July 4th unofficially marks the mid-point of the summer, but for Paulding County schoolkids it’ll be begin the final month of summer vacation.

The Pauilding County School District pinned a post on Facebook with frequently asked questions from parents over the summer.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: August 3, 2015

WHEN IS OPEN HOUSE?
Open House will be Thursday, July 30th. Elementary schools from 2pm to 6pm. Middle and High schools from 4pm to 8pm.

FOR QUESTIONS REGARDING BUSES AND TRANSPORTATION: You will need to call the Transportation Department at 770-443-8035

WHERE ARE SUMMER READING ASSIGNMENTS?
Summer reading assignments can be found here. If that list does not have your child’s school/assignments listed, please contact a counselor at their school. There is a counselor there during the summer to address your questions.

HOW CAN I REGISTER MY CHILD?
Central Registration is now accepting registration for the 2015-2016 school year. You are highly encouraged to make an appointment to register your child. You can do that here: https://booknow.appointment-plus.com/6g9blvrc/
-Please note the office is closed on Fridays from June 12 to July 17.
-Hours of operation are 7:30am to 4pm, and it is closed between 11:30am to 1pm.

WE’VE MOVED, DO I HAVE TO GO TO CENTRAL REGISTRATION?
No, if your child is already registered in the District, you can move their enrollment by going to the school they are now zoned to attend.
