Video: Walkathon To Help Locals with Cancer
The "Miles for Miracles" benefit set for Saturday at East Paulding High School will help two individuals diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma.
With the message that “it could happen to someone you love,” organizers of a are inviting the public to support two locals as they and their families deal with the expenses involved in treating their forms of cancer.
will take place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on and around the track of . Proceeds from the event will help cover the costs of chemotherapy, prescriptions, doctor visits and more for two individuals—Taylor LaCroy, a 16-year-old sophomore at East Paulding High School diagnosed with stage 4B Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and Justin Perkins, a 25-year-old Dallas resident whose Hodgkin’s lymphoma is at stage 3.
Saturday’s family-friendly event, which is open to the public, will feature a children’s area with inflatables, pony rides, a rock wall, face painting, vendors, a blood drive and more.
