Weekend Pigskin Roundup: East Paulding Continues Domination

Hiram 32, Paulding County 6 – What both sides hoped would be an exciting county rivalry game turned out to be a flag-infested, sloppy first half as both teams received their fair share of referee-related discipline. scored first when Dorian Joseph stepped in front of a Patriot pass and returned it for a touchdown. But the responded with a 60-yard drive capped off by senior Antonio Lester’s quick sweep around the end.
Hiram took control of the game in the second half, capitalizing on Patriots mistakes and finishing drives. Junior Kevin Mitchell and freshman Chris Miller added to the Hornets score with touchdown runs in the second half and Hiram was able to walk away with a convincing 32-6 victory.
East Paulding 51, Douglas County 6 – After handling Douglas County Friday by 45 points, The Raiders have outscored their three opponents by a combined 127-15 this season. Next week comes a real test when hosts seventh-ranked Kell.

North Paulding 27, South Paulding 21 – The Wolfpack won a back-and-forth, highly-contested game Friday at when Joel Brooks caught a fourth-quarter touchdown pass from Zach Cummins to give the lead.
