Army Vet Robert Morris Williams, 62, Dies

Memorial Service will be held Sunday, Sept. 1, from Westview Baptist Church, 5901 Hwy 5, Douglasville.

Robert Morris Williams, 62 of Douglasville, passed away, Thursday, Aug. 29. He was born March 11, 1951 in Fulton County, to the late Grady Williams and Vela Williams. He was A Veteran of the U.S. Army, self-employed and a member of the West View Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Williams and sister, Jeanette Thomas.

Survivors are his wife, Pamela Wheeler Williams of Douglasville; children and their spouses: Chad & Allison Williams of Colorado, Alina and Matt Childers of Douglasville, Chance and Michelle Williams of Concord, Jeremy and Amanda Fields of Newnan, Shane Williams of Colorado and Kyle Fields of Douglasville; sister: Jeri Echols; brothers: Ronnie Williams and T.G. Williams; grandchildren: Maddy, J.T., Eli, Chloe, William, Jackson, Sarah, Easton and Reese.

Memorial Service will be held Sunday, Sept. 1, from Westview Baptist Church, 5901 Hwy 5, Douglasville.

The family will receive visitors from 2 p.m. until the service hour of 3 p.m.

In accordance with his wishes, his body was cremated.
