It’s that time of year again! The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County, in partnership with the Douglas County Department of Parks and Recreation, offers an outstanding week-long intensive hands-on arts camp April 6-10.
Children, 7 to 11 years old, will explore the visual and performing arts, while working with five expert and experienced teaching artists - Justin Dunbar, Marion Greenwood, Joi Jamison, Nicole Hale, and Sadi Sobhan. Instructors use a variety of teaching methods to stimulate imaginations while continuously cultivating creative expression, confidence, self-discovery, and respect for others.

Fees for the week are $100 for the first child ($90 for CAC members) with a $5 discount for siblings. Early drop off (8:30 a.m.) and late pick up (5:00 p.m.) can be arranged for an additional fee of $10 per day.
With the theme of “Celebrating Cultural Diversity,” the daily schedule will include five art-making sessions, morning and afternoon breaks (snacks provided by the Douglas County Department of Parks and Recreation) and lunch (campers to bring their own). On the final afternoon, Friday, April 10th, from 5-6 p.m., the campers will share with parents and friends an original performance and an exhibit of their artworks at the Celebration of Success. Families, friends and the community are invited to attend!
