Kids Sewing Club – September 11th and/or 25th

Join us for our monthly kids sewing club. There are two sessions per month. Sessions may be purchased individually or as a set of 2 at a reduced cost. 

Dates: Fridays September 11th & September 25th

Time: 5 – 7 pm

Ages: 8-17

Cost for single session: $45 ($50 non-member)

Cost for both sessions: $80 ($90 non-member)

SESSION 1 – September 11: Personalized Drawstring Bag 

Required supplies:– 1 yard cotton fabric– Coordinating drawstring cord (2 pieces)– Matching thread– Fabric scissors– Pins or clips– Measuring tape– Seam ripper 

Description: Students will learn how to cut fabric, create a casing, stitch straight seams, and make a functional drawstring backpack while building confidence using a sewing machine. 

SESSION 2 – September 25: Personalized Pencil Pouch 

Required supplies:– ½ yard cotton fabric– 9″ zipper– Matching thread– Fabric scissors– Pins or clips– Measuring tape 

Description: Students will learn zipper installation, seam allowances, and basic construction while creating a personalized pencil pouch. 

***Note: Students can only join this club session if they have mastered beginner skills.***
