Carol Sue Hernandez, 69, Dies
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Sept. 13, from 2 until 4 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the Rosehaven Chapel with Reverend Adam Roberts officiating.

Carol Sue Hernandez, 69 of Douglasville, passed away Monday, Sept. 9. She was born Jan. 22, 1944 in Washington, D.C. She retired as a supervisor with Blue Cross after 17 years of service. Mrs. Hernandez loved her family, enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she loved her dog, Buttons. She enjoyed reading, playing the piano and gardening. She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church and was very active at the Woody Fite Senior Center.

Mrs. Hernandez was preceded in death by her parents, John and Evelyn Parton.
She is survived by her husband, Tony Hernandez of San Gabriel, CA; son, Greg Hernandez and wife, Natalie of Douglasville, GA; daughter, Christina Hernandez-Porter and husband, Jim of Rocklin, CA; brother, Jack Parton and wife, Jit of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, David, Joseph, and Olivia Hernandez, Nathan and Hanna Porter; and one niece, Evie Parton.
