Christine Fox, 81, Dies

Christine Fox, 81 of Douglasville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31. She was born July 9, 1932 in Tunnel Hill, GA. Mrs. Fox was retired from the Atlanta American Hotel as the Food and Beverage Director. She was a very caring person, loved spending time with her family and was an avid Braves fan.

Mrs. Fox was preceded in death by two sons, Price and Buzzy Fox; her parents, Amos and Annis McMichen Shipp; two sisters and five brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Volk and her husband, Lawrence of Villa Rica, GA; her son, Nelson Fox and his wife, Maria of Douglasville, GA; granddaughter, Miandra Fox; grandson, Daryl Fox and family friend, Lisa Sanchez; grandson, Johnny Volk and his wife, Michelle of Lithia Springs, GA; granddaughter, Rachael Bohling and her husband, Greg of Woodstock, GA; great-grandson, Dylan Bohling; great-granddaughter, River Volk; great-grandson, Chase Ditchkoff of Lithia Springs, GA; and great-grandson, Jake Bohling.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, Sept. 14, at 1 p.m. in the Rosehaven Chapel.
