Dog River Library Features Photographer for June

Diane Yancey's photographs will be on exhibit at Douglas County's Dog River Library through June 28.

Photographer Diane Yancey is the featured artist for the month of June at the Dog River Library, and her exhibition of photographs is now on display in the Library’s foyer and Community Room. The exhibit is open to the public with free admission at any time the Dog River Library is open.

Yancey started her photography career as a young adult when she had the good fortune of studying under a gifted artist who taught her composition and light. In 2002, she began to study film photography. She believes that good composition and beautiful light remain the foundation of an outstanding image, whether the photograph is shot using film or digital media. Yancey has photographed a wide range of subjects, including penguins in Antarctica and flowers and birds in her own yard.

Yancey’s photographs will be on exhibit at the Dog River Library through June 28. The Dog River Library is located at 6100 Georgia Highway 5.
