DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Whether you plan to ring in 2018 at your favorite restaurant, a killer party with your friends, or even call it an early night before the ball drops, Patch has got you covered.
So, start thinking up some resolutions you'll actually keep and get ready to celebrate. And take a look at this listing of local New Year's celebrations and events for the end of 2017 and the dawning of 2018.

Anything But Ordinary Events and More offers "In With the Bacon" on New Year’s Eve partiers can grab a late night breakfast buffet, from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. In addition to the breakfast buffet, the night features a disc jockey and live music with a midnight champagne toast and bubbly bar. Cost is $20.18 per person and $10 for children 12 and under.
Blue Rose Art and Bistro will offer a New Year’s Weekend Brunch on Saturday, Dec. 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $25 per person, the all-you-can-eat brunch will include live jazz.

Gabe’s Downtown Louisiana Bistro Douglasville will throw a New Year’s Eve Party Sunday night from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. For $30 pre-sale tickets or $40 at the door, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and a midnight champagne toast along with a music performance by Emerald Empire Band. This is a 21-plus event.
Gold Nugget Drop The City of Villa Rica will be hosting their annual Gold Nugget Drop to ring in the New Year on Dec. 31 from 10 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. at The Mill amphitheater in downtown Villa Rica. The Mill is located at 106 Temple Street. The event is free and will go on rain or shine.
This year, the headlining act for the "City of Gold" is Departure-The Journey Tribute Band. Those who attend are asked to bring a lawn chair, picnic basket and non-alcoholic beverages to this event. No smoking, vaping, tents or pets are allowed at The Mill.
Irish Bred Pub will throw a New Year’s Eve party upstairs from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. There will be live music and a champagne toast at midnight for a cover charge of $10 for a single or $15 for couples.
Topps offers a New Year’s Eve party from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. featuring a prime rib special for $12.99 with a baked potato, salad and bread. Party favors will be offered and a champagne toast will be held at midnight.
Thunderzone will offer a New Year's Day special. Bowl into the New Year with 99¢ bowling from open to 5 p.m. Don't miss entering 2018 without bowling a strike or two.
New Year's Dance Party "007 Meets 2018" is the theme for this year's dance party at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast in Peachtree Corners. Sponsored by Salsa ATL and Dancing4Fun, In addition to the dancing, there will be a three-course dinner and midnight ball drop with champagne toast.
Lanier Islands New Year's Eve Celebration Food, entertainment, fireworks and overnight deals are in the cards if you want to head up to the lake for New Year's. Visitors will check in at the lodge, then be taken by shuttle to a party at Peachtree Pointe overlooking Lake Lanier. Buffet dinner, open bar and music from Party Nation, an eight-piece band, will ring in 2018, along with a fireworks show over Lake Lanier.
New Year's Eve Celebration at The Inn Chateau Elan is offering special packages for New Year's. If you stay at the resort, you can get in on a New Year's Eve cocktail reception, six-hour open bar, four-course dinner with wine service, party favors and champagne at midnight and live music. The package also includes a New Year's Day breakfast buffet.
New Year's Eve Masquerade Ball Porche' Weddings and Special Events is hosting a masquerade to ring in the new year at JVC Event Hall in Lilburn. In two large ballrooms, DJs will be playing hip-hop and Top 100 hits while you enjoy party favors, appetizers and a five-hour open bar. The event hall is at 4515 Stone Mountain Hwy.
Atlanta Peach Drop Just days before a New Year's Eve tradition in the Southeast takes a new turn, organizers have announced the entertainers who will perform at Atlanta's annual Peach Drop. Atlanta-based rapper Jeezy, R&B and hip-hop legends TLC and rapper and actor Tyrese will perform at the free celebration, which begins at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.

"New Year's Eve Live" With Anderson Cooper And Andy Cohen
Where to catch it: CNN starting at 8 p.m. ET
Why you should watch: For the first time ever, Anderson Cooper will host CNN's annual New Year's Eve Live special with none other than "Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen. As these two are best friends in real life, you can expect tons witty banter and hilarious moments from the pair. The Bravo mogul will replace Cooper's former co-host Kathy Griffin, whom CNN fired after her controversial Donald Trump photoshoot.
"Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2018" Hosted by Ryan Seacrest
Where to catch it: ABC starting at 8 p.m. ET
Why you should watch: Remember last year's infamous Mariah Carey mic incident? Yes, it happened on Seacrest's watch. So if that's any indication, this could be a good one to tune-in to. And even if there aren't any crazy celebrity snafus, you can count on crazy views of Time Square packed with people, as well as awesome musical performances.
