Douglas Law Enforcement Leads 'Convoy of Care' For Louisiana

Police and sheriff's deputies headed up the local end of the drive, which will send goods to flood victims in need.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Douglas County's law enforcement officers took the lead locally this past weekend on the Convoy of Care -- a collection of donations for people impacted by the severe flooding in Louisiana.

At the police department on Saturday and sheriff's office on Sunday, folks dropped off all kinds of donations, which were loaded onto trucks.

From Douglasville, the donated goods were taken to the Atlanta Civic Center, where other groups throughout the region, in conjunction with the Georgia Sheriff's Association, were dropping off donations.
