DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Small or large business owners now have the opportunity to learn firsthand how to do business with the Douglas County System. The Douglas County School System will hold a meeting for prospective vendors to provide information on the procurement process and current bidding opportunities. The meeting will take place Friday, Jan. 19 at the Douglas County School System Central Office Board Room located at 9030 Highway 5 in Douglasville at 2 p.m.

Becky Eigel, assistant director of business services says the information-based session exists to educate prospective vendors on the process of connecting their product or service with Douglas County Schools. Eigel explains: “There is a great need to educate large and small business in West Georgia about how the Douglas County School System conducts its purchasing process. We have a need for everything from vehicles, facility and maintenance services to instructional materials. Many people are not aware of the tremendous opportunities that exist for West Georgia vendors to do business with our school system.”

At the session, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with the Douglas County School System Procurement Staff and learn how to complete the vendor registration process. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, you may email purchasing@douglas.k12.ga.us.
