Douglas Sheriff Seeking Lawn-Equipment Thieves

On two occasions within three days, the men stole valuable lawn equipment from a pair of Douglasville businesses, authorities say.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Douglas County authorities are asking for the public's help finding the men who stole lawn equipment from a local car dealership and another business.

At about 11:17 a.m. on July 17, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office says, the men were seen driving around the parking lot of John Bleakley Ford. Eventually, they got out of their vehicle and stole a Stihl trimmer, an edger and a blower from a landscaping truck.

Three days later, the sheriff's office says the same men are believed to have stolen two Echo backpack blowers, a Stihl backpack blower and a Stihl weed trimmer from a business on Thornton Road.

The men were seen in a blue Cadillac CTS with Georgia license plate CGX1225, the sheriff's office said.
