Douglasville Human Resources held their annual Employee Service Awards Ceremonies in December. The awards were held over two days.

Douglasville Human Resources held their annual Employee Service Awards Ceremonies in December. The awards were held over two days to accommodate social distancing.
All employees who have 5 years or more in increments of 5 are recognized for their years of service to the city. Recent retirees are also honored and several employees are recognized for their superior service to the citizens of Douglasville.

Employee of the Year
Chief Assistant City Attorney Suzan Littlefield was honored as the City of Douglasville "Employee of the Year". Ms. Littlefield has been with the City of Douglasville for 26 years.

40 Years of Service
Mr. Joel Dodson was honored for 40 years of service to the City of Douglasville as the City Attorney. He arrived at the city in September 1980 as the first Solicitor for what was then the City of Douglasville Recorder's Court. He was appointed City Attorney in 1983.
Police Department Civilian Employee of the Year
Receptionist/GCIC Clerk Joan Davidson was honored as the "PD Civilian Employee of the Year". Joan has been with the PD for three years and does an excellent job taking care of our citizens and officers at the front desk.
Police Department Officer of the Year
Officer Stephanie Young is the 2020 "Officer of the Year". Officer Young started her career in law enforcement in 2017 and joined the Douglasville Police Department earlier this year. She has been a huge asset to the patrol division and we are glad she chose to join the Douglasville family.
Police Department Supervisor of the Year
Lt. Ashley Sanders was honored as the "PD Supervisor of the Year". Lt. Sanders has been with the department since 1999 and has served in many different capacities. He does a great job and is very deserving of this recognition.
Congratulations to all these employees, and thank you for your service to the citizen's of Douglasville.
