Douglasville Man Killed in Austell Car Crash
Three children in the other car were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A Douglasville man was killed in a car crash in Austell early Sunday.
DeAndre Johnson, 20, was a backseat passenger in the wreck, on C.H. James Parkway north of Garret Road, Cobb County Police say.
Johnson was riding in a 1995 Lexus being driven by 19-year-old Marquis McKnight, of Hiram.

Police say McKnight was traveling north when he abruptly steered to the left, causing him to lose control. As his car went into the southbound lane, it hit a 2008 Ford Escape driven by Serge Laguerre, 48, of Atlanta.
Both cars came to a stop in the southbound lane after the collision, police said.

Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Laguerre and his passenger, Marie Hyppolite, 39, of Atlanta, were sent by ambulance for treatment at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
Their three children, who were seated in the back, were sent to Scottish Rite Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
McKnight and an unidentified female passenger also were sent to Kennestone with serious injuries.
Cobb Police say charges are expected to be filed in the case. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call (770) 499-3987.
