Pizza, cookies just the latest in treats that have been dropped off for Douglaville, and Douglas County, officers in recent days.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA -- Douglasville Police took to social media on Tuesday to thank members of the public who have stopped by the department lately with goodies and gifts.

Just Tuesday, the department said in a Facebook post, one family stopped by and gave pizza to on-duty officers, while another stopped by with cookies.

"We have had many visitors this past week stop by with treats, cards, and words of encouragement," the post reads. "Our officers have reported people thanking them for serving the community while they are out on patrol or in public. The encouragement and support is greatly appreciated and shows that here in Douglasville 'We Are 1' with our community."
