Douglasville AT&T Store Robbed At Gunpoint
Two men were arrested after a police chase Wednesday near Thornton Road.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A pair of men are in jail after authorities say they robbed a Douglasville AT&T store at gunpoint on Wednesday.
Quanterus Smith, 27, and Brandon Byse, 22, are both charged with armed robbery. Smith also faces charges of felony fleeing and eluding, theft by receiving and possession of a handgun during the commission of a felony.
On Wednesday, Douglas County Sheriff's Office spokesman Dep. Bryan Wood said, two men entered the AT&T store on Thornton Road and demanded money and iPhones. They ran away, but were spotted in their vehicle by a deputy on nearby Skyview Road.

When the deputy attempted to pull the men over, they fled, according to Wood. A chase ensued and ended when the deputy executed a PIT maneuver near Thornton Road and Interstate West Parkway, causing the suspects' vehicle to spin out.
Both men were taken into custody without further incident. They were being held without bond Thursday at Douglas County Jail.
