Elizabeth Post, 78, Dies

Elizabeth Post,  78 of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5. She was born August 20, 1935 in Turtletown, TN.

Mrs. Post was retired from BellSouth Corp. and was a member of Second Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Lee Post; parents, Jim H. and Icie A Walker Powell; one sister and six brothers.

She is survived by her sons, Rev. David Post and wife Margie, Tim Post and wife Debbie, Rev. Danny Post and wife Laura; daughter, Gail Mayton and husband Clyde; grandchildren, Jason Mayton, D.J. Post and wife Alicia, Tiffany Post, Kyler Post, Drew Post, Austin Post, Abbie Post; great-grandchildren, Alex Mayton, Hayden Mayton, Torynn Post, Abigail Barnes, Dylan Clark; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 7, at 11 a.m. in the Rosehaven Chapel with Rev. Bobby Woods and Rev. George Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
