Elma Helton Holloway Hutcheson, 87, Dies

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Aug. 19, at 11 a.m. from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Ken Bowman, Rev. Wayne Webb and Rev. Donald Hubbard officiating.

Elma Helton Holloway Hutcheson, 87 of Carrollton, passed away Friday, Aug. 16, at Higgins General Hospital. She was born Sept. 14, 1925 in Carroll County to the late Amos Lee Helton and Bernice Baughtman. She was a homemaker and loved to cook for her family and the community. She was also a member of the trio music group, The Helton Sisters, which sang at many events and often times funerals for others. She had worked as a seamstress and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, W.A. Holloway; her second husband, Duel Dule Hutcheson; sons, Barry Holloway and Larry Holloway; brothers, Jim Helton and Aubrey Lee Helton; sister, Margie Ragsdale; and grandson, Timothy Holloway. Survivors include sons and daughters in law, Randy and Ruth Holloway and Ricky and Racheal Holloway all of Carrollton; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Aug. 19, at 11 a.m. from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Ken Bowman, Rev. Wayne Webb and Rev. Donald Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow in Carrollton City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richie Holloway, Chris Holloway, Jeff Eidson, Chance Holloway, Tony Flourney, and Joey Holloway. Music will be provided by Twyla Fristad and Lindsay Thurman. The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
