Evelyn Bradley Reese, 93, Dies

Evelyn Bradley Reese, 93 of Carrollton, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29. She was born on Oct. 26, 1919 in Carrollton to the late Sanford Bradley and Minnie Lee Morrow Bradley. She was a member of Abilene Baptist Church, was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her flower garden and was an avid walker up until her health declined.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Taylor Reese; sisters, Myrtle Akers, Lois Neese, Mary Griffis, Hazel Cook and Clara Knowles; brothers, Herman Bradley, Jewel Bradley, Herschel Bradley, James Bradley, Byron Bradley, and Caron Bradley. Survivors include daughters and sons in law, Myra Reese and Billy Baxter of Carrollton, and Mildred Reese and Ed Bennett, all of Carrollton; three grandchildren, Melissa Lynn Baxter, Jonathan Bennett, and Brandon Bennett; and three great grandchildren, Chase Bennett, Drew Bennett, and Hunter Bennett.

Funeral services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Charles Williams and Rev. Talmadge Chandler officiating. Interment will follow in the Abilene Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Smith, Randy Smith, Winton Akers, Waymon Akers, Junior Blackwelder, and Ed Bennett.
