10-Year-Old And Cousin Killed In Fire, 2 Firefighters Injured
A fire in Lithia Springs Monday night killed a 10-year-old and an adult and injured two firefighters.

LITHIA SPRINGS, GA – A fire in Lithia Springs Monday night killed a 10-year-old and an adult and injured two firefighters.
The deceased have been identified as Stacia Williams, 28, and Jermaude Earl, 10, who both lived at the home. They were cousins. The two injured firefighters were taken to the hospital where they were treated and released.
The Douglas County Fire Department is investigating the deadly house fire, which happened around 9:30 p.m. When firefighters arrived to the house, in the 500 block of Boulder Park Drive, heavy smoke was pouring out. Firefighters removed the two victims and transported them to a local hospital where the they succumbed to their injuries.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire with the assistance of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms and the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
