Floice H. ‘Judy’ Rushton, 94, Dies

Floice H. ‘Judy’ Rushton, 94 of Douglasville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 8. She was born on Jan. 18, 1919 in Cookville, TN.

Mrs. Rushton had an Associate Degree in Business, was a business auditor, and then owner of Rushton Cadillac and GMC Dealership. She loved golf, painting, and travel. Mrs. Rushton was a member of Douglasville First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvis Parker Rushton and her parents, John Ruben and Bertie Lane Hardy.

She is survived by her sister, Margaret H. Carpenter of Powder Springs, GA; nephews, Bob Carpenter and wife Cecile of Douglasville, GA, James Corn and wife Rita of Atlanta, GA, Carl Hardy and wife Carol of Raleigh, NC, Tommy Fullerton of Kannapolis, NC, Alan Hardy of Salisbury, NC; niece, Tina Reed and husband John of Powder Springs, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. Her graveside funeral service will be Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 1 p.m. at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.
