Four Missing Teens Being Sought in Douglas County

Authorities do not believe the cases are related.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Douglas County authorities are searching for four teenagers who have gone missing from their homes.

The four cases are not believed to be related, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

All four teens are from the Douglasville area, and all four left their homes on different dates

Megan Ruth Shepherd, 17, has been missing since September 5, when she left her home in Douglasville.

She has been seen since then at local high school events and may be in the company of someone named "E.J."

She has also been spotted in the area of Forrester Avenue.

Megan is described as a black female, standing 5'7'' and weighing about 190 pounds.


Jonathan Smith, 17, has been missing from his Douglasville home since February 16.

He is believed to be either in Alabama or the local area.

Authorities say his hair may be cut short now, with blue coloring on the sides.

Jonathan is described as a black male, about 5'7'' tall and weighing about 230 pounds.


Amillyon Thomas, 17, has been missing since September 23, when he left his home in Douglasville at about 9 p.m.

He is believed to be either in Macon or the local area. He's possibly traveling in a black 2001 Chevy Cavalier with the tag number RCP5547 and may be in the company of Madison Leatherwood, 17.

Amillyon is described as a black male, 6'1'' tall and weighing 155 pounds.


Scottie Vaughn Jr., 15, left his home in Douglasville on August 30 and hasn't returned.

He may still be in the local area, authorities say.

Scottie has a scar on his left eyebrow, and a tattoo on his chest that say, "Family."

He is described as a white male with blonde hair and blue eyes, standing 5'5'' and weighing about 120 pounds.
