Gable Sporting Goods Celebrates 50 Years in Business

Members of the Gable family as well as friends, customers and Chamber representatives gathered to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of their business being in operation with a DC Chamber ribbon cutting on June 18th.

Gable Sporting Goods is located at 6250 Fairburn Road in Douglasville.

Founded by brothers Jimmy and Clark Gable, Gable’s has been serving the west metro Atlanta area since 1965.

Starting as a small fishing and hunting store, they have grown to accommodate almost every sport imaginable.

Through the last 50 years the business has grown to include three generations of the Gable family. They handle a variety of customer sporting goods needs including fishing, hunting, archery, firearms, footwear, and team sports.

Also in the store, a team division specializes in custom screen-printing and embroidery for all levels of competition as well as personal or business apparel. Gable Sporting Goods can provide every need from the first day in the game all the way into a professional career.
