"Google is proud to call Georgia home to one of our data centers," reads Google's website.
"Google has had a data center presence in the Atlanta region since 2003," it continues. "Over the years, we've invested over $1.2 billion in Douglas County. Now a fully operational site, we've created over 350 jobs in Georgia, and we work hard to support the communities in which our employees live and work.
Since 2011, we've awarded more than $7.5 million to Georgia nonprofits and schools. Our employees are active volunteers in the community. Additionally, we've designed an innovative reuse water system to use recycled water for 100 percent of our cooling needs."
Google makes it easy to meet some of their employees and see how they're giving back to the community.
According to the website, Douglas County has the right combination of energy infrastructure, developable land, and available workforce for the data center.
