Handgun, Marijuana Seized in Middle School Arrests (ICYMI)
At Chestnut Log Middle School, a 14 year old was caught with a 9-mm handgun and marijuana packaged for sale.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A 14 year old was arrested at Chestnut Log Middle School with a handgun and marijuana packaged to sell, Douglas County authorities announced Monday.
Last Wednesday, Deputy Ryan Quibell, the school resource officer at Chestnut Log, received a tip from an anonymous source that a student was in possession of a handgun.
A search by school officials revealed that a male, 14-year-old student had a 9-mm handgun, marijuana packaged for sale and an undisclosed amount of money in his possession. He was taken into custody at that time.

Quibell continued the investigation on Thursday and, according to the sheriff's office, learned there were three other male juveniles involved in attempting to sell the marijuana that was seized the day before. All four juveniles, who allegedly had been involved with selling marijuana on at least one previous occasion, were arrested.
They face numerous charges, including possession of a handgun during a drug transaction, possessing the weapon on school grounds, use of a communication facility to further a drug crime, conspiracy to distribute marijuana on school grounds and racketeering.
