Jean Juanita Orford, 88, Dies

Jean Juanita Orford, 88 of Douglasville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 8. She was born Aug. 16, 1925 in Cottage City, MD. She was a homemaker, loved spending time with her family and was very active in Girl Scouts when her daughters were young. She loved bowling, gardening and bird watching.

Mrs. Orford was preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. Orford; and her parents, Walter and Lola Ford.

She is preceded by daughters, Carol Cutts of Flowery Branch, GA, Susan Cromer and husband Bruce of Douglasville, GA, Donna Orford and husband Jerry Cheek of Flowery Branch, GA; grandchildren, Rob Cutts of Atlantic Beach, FL, Karen Copeland of Chattanooga, TN, Tessa Allen of Canton, GA; great-grandchildren, Barrett Cutts of Atlantic Beach, FL, Patrick Allen of Canton, GA, and Tanner Allen of Canton, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 10 to 11 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at Rosehaven Memorial Park with Reverend Eddie Thackston officiating.
