This year's project consisted of building a fence around the Mill Village Community Garden. The fence will provide an aesthetic element to the garden as well as climbing structures to grow produce.
Due to COVID restrictions, the number of volunteers was limited, but despite the small numbers, much was accomplished. "We were able to get all of the fence posts set, and complete the frame. We will be finishing the project over the next few weeks", said KDB Executive Director Chan Weeks. ", The volunteers did an amazing job and worked hard throughout the day. We appreciate each individual giving up their holiday to give back to Douglasville", she added.
