Labor Day 2018 Free Food, Restaurant Discounts In Georgia

ATLANTA, GA — This Labor Day weekend, there's a wealth of free meals and restaurant discounts for Atlanta metro residents as we bid so long to summer and kick the school year into high gear. Diners can get coupons for discounts on everything from sub sandwiches to lobster tails; receive a reduced or no delivery fee from Denny's and Safeway; and get a free blizzard when you buy one at Dairy Queen.

We've rounded up a few deals diners can take advantage of this weekend.

Dairy Queen: Dairy Queen's Pumpkin Pie Blizzard returns Sept. 3 and features pumpkin pie pieces, whipped cream and nutmeg. When you download the app and register for an account, you'll get one free, small Blizzard treat. Here's how the deal works: To claim your free Blizzard, download Dairy Queen's new national mobile app, where you can also check to see which nearby stores are taking part.

Denny's: Get free Denny's delivery on online orders through Sept. 9. To check if your nearby Denny's delivers, click here and type in your Zip code.

McCormick & Schmick's: Sundays and Mondays, get twin lobster tails for $29.99. Locations here.

Mimi's Cafe: The special summer menu ends Sept. 5 with such seasonal specials as Tropical Shrimp Ceviche and Citrus Chicken Salad. And sign up as an E-club member and score a free two-pack of muffins or croissants.

Olive Garden: Olive Garden is running a buy-one-take-one special starting at $12.99. Buy one meal for dine-in, and get a second entree to take home for free. Deal runs through Sept. 23. Locations here.

On The Border: Get $2 and $4 mix-and-match tacos. Through Oct. 1, select tacos are discounted to $2 (chicken tinga and seasoned ground beef) and to $4 (brisket, southwest chicken and more). Find eatery near you.

Red Robin: Hosting a Labor Day event? Cater it with a Red Robin Gourmet Burger Bar, and get a free $10 gift card for a future purchase. Offer valid Aug. 31 to Sept. 3. See details. Yummm!

Safeway: New customers can get $20 off grocery delivery for orders over $49 (use coupon code TWENTY). This could come in handy for Labor Day weekend deliveries. Offer valid through Sept. 17.

Sonic: Through Labor Day only, get the $2.99 American Classic meal with options of a hot dog with medium tots, a quarter-pound, double cheeseburger with medium tots or a Chili Cheese Coney and medium tots.
Also, Sonic Nights end on Labor Day. Get half-price shakes, floats and Ice Cream Slushes every day after 8 p.m.

Target: McCafé Coffee: The brand offers its signature Frappé in three flavors: Caramel, Mocha and Vanilla, on sale this weekend at Target stores for $2.

Wendy's: For a limited time, get Frostys for just 50 cents - chocolate or vanilla at participating locations. And if your local Wendy's delivers through DoorDash, orders of $10 or more are delivered free Friday through Sunday. Details here.
