DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA — The National Women's History Month Celebration originally scheduled for March 31 at the Douglasville Conference Center has been cancelled due to the novel coronavirus. Organizers stated that the cancellation is being done in the hopes of helping prevent the spread of the virus.

"In order to protect the health of the expected large number of attendees and special guests, the program will be postponed for a later date. The new details will be provided as they develop to the public," event organizers stated.

As part of the 150th year celebration of Douglas County, the Douglas County Board of Commissioners planned a special program honoring National Women's History Month featuring keynote speaker Judge Peggy Walker.
