Navy Vet William James Corn, 95, Dies
The funeral service was held Monday, Aug. 12, at the Rosehaven Chapel with Rev. John Pinson officiating. Entombment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.

William James Corn, 95 of Atlanta, formerly of Douglasville, passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2013. He was born Dec. 19, 1917 in Gastonia, NC.
Mr. Corn was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a graduate of Atlanta Law College with an LLB degree in law. He was a rating specialist with the Veterans Administration for 30 years and a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Mr. Corn was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Douglasville and belonged to the Men’s Chorus.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois H. Corn; parents, James J. and Margaret V. Poole Corn; and brother, Jack Corn.

He is survived by son, James A Corn and wife Rita of Atlanta, GA; nephew, William Burton Corn; and niece, Jane Kilgore.
