The man was dismembered and found dead in Douglas County's Dog River Reservoir, local authorities say.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA — New details have recently emerged after authorities say a man was dismembered and disposed of in the Dog River Reservoir, according to a media report.
Co-defendants David Barber and Ambria Boyd were denied bond weeks after they were arrested in connection with the death of Jamal Parker, WAGA-TV reported Monday evening. Boyd was Parker's girlfriend, according to the report.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office on Aug. 12 said Parker, a 37-year-old Atlanta barber, was killed on May 15 and was found dead in the Dog River Reservoir, which sits along Highway 166 in Douglasville.

While authorities did not release a cause of death, investigators determined Parker was shot twice and stabbed five times after a dispute escalated at a home, WAGA-TV reported.
On Monday, prosecutor testimony in a court hearing reportedly revealed evidence showed Parker was alive when he was decapitated, while testimony from a co-defendant claimed Parker's hands were severed after he died. His head and hands were placed in buckets before being filled with concrete, WAGA-TV reported.
