Nickolas ‘Nick’ Laine Smith, 31, Dies
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Aug. 27, from 1 until 3 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the Rosehaven Chapel with Pastor Robert Rutherford officiating.

Nickolas ‘Nick’ Laine Smith, 31 of Douglasville, passed away Friday, Aug. 23. He was born Oct. 4, 1981 in Lithia Springs. Nick was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Austell and currently a member of Crossroads Church in Douglasville.
Nick was preceded in death by his father, Charles Robert ‘Bobby’ Smith; brother, Lamar Emory Smith; maternal grandparents, Gladys Kinney and Charlie Kinney; and paternal grandparents, Lamar and Jessie Smith.
He is survived by his son, Braeden Robert Laine Smith; his mother, Rita Randall and his stepfather Stephen; brother, Kinn Smith and his wife Tammie; sister, Leslie Smith-Turner and her husband Clay; aunt, Betty Smith-Apt; uncle, Weems Kinney, aunt and uncle, Janice and Dewey McCravy; nephews, Garrett, Jourdan, Jude and Sam; nieces, Summer, Chloe and Tamra; great-niece, Cheyann Smith; fiancé, Meghan Wagner; the mother of his son, Heather Fowler; special friend, Lamar Huff; other friends, Niki, Ashley, Brandon, Brittany, Crystal, Jesse, Jeffrey, Matt and Mathew.
