Publix Carjacking Suspect Wanted By Douglasville Police

The victim in the case was an 83-year-old man.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Douglasville Police are searching for a suspect they say carjacked an elderly man at a Publix supermarket this week.

Donta Everett Thomas, 21, is accused of forcibly stealing a car from an 83-year-old man Wednesday in the parking lot of the Publix at 3316 Hwy. 5 in Douglasville.

The stolen vehicle, which has been recovered, is a red 2014 Kia Soul. The carjacking happened at about 6:20 p.m., according to a police report.
